Description
As a Virtual Assistant specializing in Claims Resolution, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the resolution of patient claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Your attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies will help ensure the successful resolution of outstanding claims. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency of the billing process and the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities
Assist in reviewing and resolving patient claims, ensuring accuracy and completeness of submitted information.
Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to gather additional information and clarify discrepancies.
Follow up on denied or underpaid claims, ensuring timely resolution and re-submission if necessary.
Analyze insurance explanations of benefits (EOBs) and identify reasons for claim denials or delays.
Maintain accurate records of claims statuses and resolutions in the system.
Collaborate with the billing team to ensure claims are processed efficiently and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Provide support in generating reports related to claims resolutions and outstanding claims.
Qualifications
Proven experience in claims resolution, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of medical billing and coding, including insurance claim processes.
Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle claim discrepancies effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in claims processing.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
