Description
The Healthcare Credentialing Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that our healthcare professionals meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for verifying and validating the qualifications, licenses, and certifications of healthcare providers, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements. This role demands a meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of healthcare provider credentials, licenses, and certifications. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accrediting bodies. 
  • Collaborate with HR and department heads to onboard new providers efficiently. 
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of provider credentials. 
  • Monitor and track expiration dates for licenses and certifications, initiating renewal processes as needed. 
  • Investigate and resolve any credentialing discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about industry changes and updates in credentialing requirements. 
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation for audits and accreditation surveys. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field. 
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred. 
  • Proven experience in healthcare credentialing or related compliance role. 
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
